The Regional Review about the new E-Polis forum for NGOs

E-Polis was initiated in 2006 by four Green MEPs: Gisela Kallenbach, Monica Frassoni, David Hammerstein and Michael Cramer. The rationale was to give fresh impetus to local actions led by citizens themselves and not leave urban development as purely as a matter for public administration. E-Polis was also a response to local authority networks such as URBACT and Eurocities.
